Beach Ceremony  ·  The Winery at Manzanita
Cocktail Hour & Reception · 3–9pm

Our Story

Alyssa and Maxwell met at the 2016 Combine Demolition Derby in Lind, Washington — not exactly where most people expect a love story to begin, but that's kind of the point. They began dating that fall as they both attended WSU in Pullman.

Max graduated in December 2016 and the two continued long-distance as he moved to Portland, OR while Aly finished nursing school in Spokane, WA. Following nursing school, Aly moved to Seattle and Max made the move north shortly thereafter. The two settled into life together with their cat, Nora, and their dog, Murphy.

In May 2023, the family made their move back to Spokane so Aly could start her doctorate program for nurse anesthesia. Max got down on one knee in December 2023.

This year they are so excited to celebrate 10 years of their love story with their closest friends and family in one of the most special places on earth — Manzanita, Oregon.

What's next for Max and Aly? Honestly, who knows — getting Aly through graduation was stressful enough. Ask Max after his third glass of wine at the wedding.

Good to know

What's the dress code?

Semi-formal & comfortable. Think dressy but practical.

Are there restrooms near the beach?

Yes, there is a public restroom at the beach access point at Laneda Ave and 1st St, right near where the ceremony will be held. The winery has full restroom facilities for the reception.

Where should I park?

Manzanita in the summer gets busy, so walk from your accommodation if you can. If you need to drive, street parking along Laneda Ave is the main option. If that's full, check the public parking lot on 5th Street.

Are kids welcome?

We love the little ones in your life, bring them along if that works for your family. Just keep in mind it'll be a long day on the beach, so plan accordingly!

In lieu of gifts

Your presence is truly the only gift we need. But if you'd like to do something in our honor, we'd be so touched by a donation to one of these organizations that mean a lot to us.
